The trees limbs were still coming down when I was there Friday on account of the ice that was holding them on the tree melted. Maybe up to four weeks before power restored. At least the water came back up in some of the smaller areas At least MN had snow to melt for water. Try going without water for three days before you can get more and then good luck with getting some.
My mother in law had six adults five kids and three dogs in her little house. They ran out of food Thursday and only had two jugs of water left.
I had convinced her she needed to move only by telling her the Farmers Almanac said ice. She moved to a house with gas heat.
got water back on yesterday. I brought them food, a battery operated radio, water and camping lights last Friday. They were in shock from the popping and cracking of the poles and trees. One man in White Plains KY said it sounded like a war going on.. and then they still couldn't get around safely on account of the tree limbs and falling debris. Then on Saturday it was the ice sheets falling off of the trees. That scared my mother in law all over again. Thankfully everyone stayed in and didn't get hit. This is a snapshot of a family in KY and it goes on and on all up and down the state.
